All Eyes On Dubai

Joby and Archer are accelerating the global race for air taxi dominance – both making critical moves in the UAE.

Joby Aviation delivered its first production aircraft to Dubai and completed successful test flights, marking the start of its commercial readiness program with the Roads and Transport Authority. Its first vertiport at DXB is under construction, with full passenger service expected in early 2026.

Meanwhile, Archer’s Midnight aircraft began flying in Abu Dhabi at Al Bateen Executive Airport.

The eVTOL companies aim for FAA certification and commercial service by late 2025, with U.S. flights to follow in early 2026.

The era of flying cars isn’t a Jetsons sci-fi fantasy – all eyes on Dubai.

OpenAI x Oracle

OpenAI partnered with Oracle to boost its computing power.

Until now, most of OpenAI’s infrastructure ran on Microsoft’s Azure cloud, but as demand for ChatGPT soars, OpenAI needs additional support.

Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure offers OpenAI massive scale and access to 64k NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs or GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchips. The partnership does not replace Microsoft, but adds a new lane for OpenAI to handle the traffic.

Today, Oracle jockeys for pole position in the AI infrastructure arms race. It’s a 3 horse race between $ORCL, $AMZN and $MSFT. Here’s the YTD performance.

Humanoid Sports!

China hosted the world’s first fully autonomous robot football match – a 3v3 showdown with no human assistance on the field.

Held in Beijing, the event featured university teams like Tsinghua and China Agricultural University, each fielding humanoid robots that made real-time decisions using onboard vision, strategy, and motor control.

Tsinghua’s “Vulcan” squad defeated the “Mountain Sea” team 5 – 3, showcasing not only technical dominance but also a glimpse into the future of intelligent machines.

Beyond the entertainment element, this match signals a new frontier in robotics: real-world adaptability. Sports offer an excellent testbed for AI integration, where dynamic environments require fast, autonomous responses.

It’s not just about robots kicking a ball – it’s about training them to think on their feet.
