Hello from Aspen where I am recovering from a long morning ride to the top of The Independence Pass…

It is my second year at Christian Van De Velde event. Christian is a great host and of course Aspen is incredible. Christian (on the left) was an incredible professional cyclist and in 2008 finished 4th in The Tour De France. From left to right are my pals Raja, Roy and Nave.

Independence Pass was very tough – a 4,200 foot climb to over 12,000 feet at the peak. Top to bottom I was on the bike for 3.5 hours. The 20 mile descent was in many ways harder than the climb because of high winds. A definite cycling bucket list ride:
