Stocktwits Acquires Thematic..An AI-Powered Research Platform

I am excited to announce that Stocktwits has acquired Thematic.

Here is the simple gist:

Stocktwits has acquired Thematic, an AI-powered research platform to bring smarter tools, faster insights, and a more personalized investing experience to our community.

Here is what we plan on releasing shortly:

→ AI-native search and discovery

→ Smart screeners and watchlists

→ Stream summaries and idea generation

→ Proprietary indicators like Social RSI

The releases we are launching above will allow our users to have an ‘idea agent’. An idea agent will serve everyone ideas based on their past ideas because it will have analyzed the price action and risk profile of my stream.

Users will also be able to ‘prompt’ their financial, market and stock questions just like Chat GPT but right from in stream on Stocktwits with the additional benefit of the Stocktwits data.

‘I would like to see stocks at all time highs over $2 billion market cap that have the most follows on Stocktwits in the last 30 days.’

I will share more as we get closer to launch.

A short backstory…

I’ve known Steve Carpenter – the founder of Thematic – for many years. He has been a fintech founder before. It will be fun working with him and his team integrating everything they have built. Steve showed me their first (pre AI) product a few years back and I used it to build my ‘Degenerate Economy Index’.

While we are disabling that part of the product for the public now, it will come back soon fully integrated into the Stocktwits experience. My index will continue to be accessible.

Thematic investors are the incredible Lux Capital so it will be great to have them in our corner and on our cap table.
