New On Stocktwits – Archiving For Financial Advisors with Archive Intel

Good morning…

Before I get started, I learned something new about Amazon yesterday.

Ellen had a plunger delivered by Amazon at 4 am.

If I were to blame Ellen for the clog, all hell might break loose in Howietown so let’s just say it was likely me that created the clog/logjam in the master bathroom. I was plunging away which is about the only household skill I have mastered in 30 years of home ownership and the plunger was not grabbing. Ellen had gone for style over function with her latest plunger purchase I imagine. I let Ellen know as she was going to sleep and she ordered a plunger from Amazon. When I woke she was standing over me with the new plunger. I should be grateful it was not directly planted over my nose and mouth.

Sadly, even the top of the line Amazon plunger ‘The Shit Disturber’ has not been able to unclog whatever the hell is in there. If you know a good plumber hit me up. I may just start an ecommerce bathroom brand called ‘The Shit Disturber’.

Onward…

One thing not shitty today are all the launches and growth at Stocktwits. I stepped back in as CEO in April after 7 plus years on the sidelines and we are really adding a lot of features for the community that make following stocks and markets and talking about them all day more fun and educational. I created the platform back in 2008 as an easy way to jouurnal, share ideas and get ideas…an idea machine.

As AI proliferates, my dream of an idea machine is here. Stocktwits needs to be a place where the lurker and casual user and observer can come sip ideas in as many ways as possible. In the near future you will be able to use Stocktwits as your ‘idea agent’ when it comes to investing and your risk score will travel around the web with you to make all your investing interactions more interesting and on-point.

Obviously, the more people that invest the better and the more people that use Stocktwits the better and that is happening.

One area of investors/contributors that have been wary of using platforms like Stocktwiits are financial advisors. The SEC has been on a money grab binge the last few years with 100’s of million of fines for ‘compliance’ and vague interpretations…

Last year our fund Social Leverage invested in a modern solution – Archive Intel – to help advisors to solve this problem.

Last week we rolled out the Archive Intel products with Stocktwits so any advisor can join Stocktwits and contribute ideas or have discussions with the assurance that their communications meet SEC and FINRA requirements.

For instance, a financial advisor can participate in an active thread on Stocktwits on current market without hesitation, knowing Archive Intel’s technology will archive these interactions and ensure regulatory compliance.

My partner Matt has more details on how Archive Intel can work for any advisor/ firm for all social media and communication products.

See you tomorrow.
