Boring is a Feature
Boring is a Feature
Kobe put up endless jump shots.
Jerry Rice spent hours on the JUGS machine.
Boring, repetitive work….that’s what built greatness.
It wasn’t about chasing the newest drill, it was about sticking to what stood the test of time.
My philosophy with investing is similar.
Build robust processes to understand the message of the market AND listen.
After sitting in the office this morning grinding through my process (the boring), it was another reminder that Bull Markets share that same trait.
They’re boring.
Stocks go up. Volatility stays low.
Week after week, the story doesn’t change.
Sure, I could dig up a flashy stat or twist a ratio chart to make it look like something historic is unfolding.
But that would be entertainment, not analysis.
The reality is simple.
The frameworks I’ve built haven’t shifted if anything, they’re getting stronger.
Price is confirming, not warning.

And in Bull Markets, you’ll lose far more trying to anticipate the pullback than you will in the pullback itself.

Sometimes the hardest work is knowing when not to tinker.
Let the Bull Market do the heavy lifting.
At the end of the day, it’s the market that moves.
Your job is to be patient enough to let it.
My Weekly Show – Thompson’s Two Cents
🎥 Thompson Two Cents Live
I go live every Friday at 5 PM EST.
I love this week’s episode.
You rarely hear people talk about the faults many make in Technical Analysis, mostly because most haven’t truly studied it.
I break down The Simplicity Trap.
Why traders confuse observation for analysis, and more importantly, how to escape it.
🚀 Throw it on 1.5x speed and let it rip.
👍 Give it a like. It’s the easiest way to show me some love.
