New All-Time Highs in Blessings
On July 12th, my wife and I welcomed our first son, Harvey Allen Thompson, into the world, and honestly, it’s hard to explain what that does to you.
Watching my wife bring him into this world gave me an entirely new level of respect for how strong and powerful women can be through the strength God gives them. I already knew she was a warrior and blessed in so many ways, but I didn’t fully understood the strength she had in her until I watched it firsthand.
Harvey is the cutest little guy ever. He came in at a healthy 8 pounds, 7 ounces, which sounds like I’m announcing the winner of a fishing tournament when I say it out loud. He’s got a full head of hair and these big eyes that lock onto you like you’re under some kind of hypnosis spell..
The blessings right now feel endless, and I praise God for every one of them.
I’m sure things will get harder and the sleep deprivation will continue to stack up, but like the Grinch, my heart grew a few sizes and more than made up for the lost sleep.
So the blogs will be a bit sporadic over the next couple of weeks while I spend time with my family, soak all of this in and continue to serve my wife and son the best I can.
