Sunday Reads And Listens…No Good Choices …I Am A Never Trumper Turning Into A Never Democrat

Every morning I wake up to catch up on my very limited ‘filtered’ news that I have set for myself and it seemingly gets worse.

Yesterday, one rocket killed 12 children in Israel. Since October 7, the terrorist groups Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis have launched over 19,000 rockets into Israel, aiming to kill as many Israelis as possible. Without the Iron Dome, tens if not hundreds of thousands of Israeli’s would likely have been killed and have been targeted for death.

I guess attempted murder and genocide is not something people care to track at the UN or on college campuses or in the White House.

It seems obvious that the escalation of war between Israel and Hezbollah/Iran is at hand.

At the Paris Olympics the Israeli team is being threatened and doxxed …thank goodness Qatari military vehicles are allowed to roam the streets.

The farce that is Donald Trumpf is off shilling for votes at a Bitcoin conference because the supposedly perfect money and bad government hedge needs a conman and grifter Donald Trumpf’s support to actually work!?

Hint…Crypto does not need Trumpf. It exists because of people like Trumpf.

I do not chime in on foreign policy on this newsletter, but if Obama is admitting that his Iran policy is a mistake, maybe we should listen?

I follow John Spencer (chief of urban warfare studies) because he is an expert in something that matters right now. He shared this piece titled ‘Our Iran Policy Has Failed. Time For A New Policy.’

Enough from me on these sad topics.

This newsletter is about trends in the markets. I dread writing about world events.

I have no idea how these events play out in the markets and politics and the markets are not a good mix (unless you like Bitcoin it seems).

My friend Lowell shared this Renmac podcast hosted by the super talented analyst Jeff Degraaf which I am listening too as I go on my Peloton in a few. This weeks title they say is ‘Off Script’ much like my own writing this morning. ‘Markets Are Oversold, but Is Kamala Overbought’.

Here is the weekly ‘Trends With Friends’ full wrapup from our new site. Subscribe for free.

I guess the Costco Gold Rush makes sense based on the headlines I shared this morning.

If you missed our ‘Trends With Friends’ podcast, here you go with the full details and charts.

I don’t have much to cheer people up today, so let me end with a fun product that would make an excellent gift for a loved one…you can order here.

you

Have a great Sunday. Kiss your kids.
